Overview
New hires were drowning in their first week: a 60-page PDF, a dozen tool logins, and no clear sense of what mattered first. The result was anxious starters and managers fielding the same questions on repeat.
I designed a five-day drip path in Rise — one focused 12-minute module per day — that paced the essentials and let people learn in the flow of their actual onboarding.
The challenge
Everything felt equally urgent on day one, which meant nothing landed. The information existed; the sequencing and pacing didn't.
The approach
I treated the first week as a designed experience, not a document dump.
Daily dripOne short module released each morning, mapped to what that day actually requires.
Just enoughEach lesson ends with a single concrete action, not a wall of reference material.
Tool walkthroughsShort Camtasia screen-captures for every system, embedded at point of need.
Progress mapA visible five-day tracker so new hires always know where they are.
The solution
Delivered as a Rise course with a clean daily structure, embedded screen-recordings, and printable checklists. It hands off cleanly to the team’s LMS and is simple for HR to update as tools change.
